Nobody, the Hero

by Kara on November 14, 2009

Heroes seem to be a thing of the past. When’s the last time you’ve heard someone do something heroic?

It seems as if the stereotype of heroic citizens is coming to an end. While there are stories told of super heroes like Batman and Superman, as there always will, rarely do we see heroes in our own world.

That seems to be the problem. There are so many stressful things going on, everyone is fending for themselves, instead of trying to be a hero. No one stands up for anyone. No one really seems to be doing anything.

Why?

We thank heroes, because no one else is brave enough, strong enough, driven enough to get up off their asses and help someone.

We don’t have superheroes. We don’t have heroes. The only heroes we have are ourselves.

The world is so lacking in heroes. It’s time to change that.
